Zilveren pijpkomfoor, J. van der Toorn 2, Den Haag, 1787 Family Crest The lock is from theSilver pipe stove with ebony base, made by the silversmith Johannes van der Toorn 2 from The Hague. He was active from 1771 to ca. 1811. The pipe stove is beautifully cut out and decorated with garlands in the Empire style. The stove has a removable copper inner bowl. The stove stands on an ebony base with bone knob feet. The pipe stove is hallmarked with the Dutch Lion, city hallmark The Hague (2nd grade silver, crown above the city hallmark is
